1. Who we are

RaideX ("RaideX", "we", "us") is an online marketplace operated by Pratyush Sharma, founder of RaideX. It connects people who want to rent a car or bike ("riders") with people who list their own vehicles ("hosts"). You can reach us at support@raidex.in.

RaideX does not own the vehicles listed on the platform. Each vehicle belongs to its host, who remains responsible for it being legally registered, insured and roadworthy.

2. Eligibility and your account

To use RaideX you must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under Indian law. To drive a rented vehicle you must also hold a valid driving licence for that vehicle category.

You can sign in with a phone number verified by a one-time passcode. Keep your phone and account secure; you are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.

3. Identity verification (KYC)

Before you can book, we verify your identity. This involves your government ID, your driving licence and a live photo for face matching. A booking cannot be completed until your verification is approved. Submitting false, forged or someone else's documents will lead to your account being closed and may be reported to the authorities.

4. Listings, prices and availability

Listings show the host's photos, vehicle details, pickup area and daily price. Only listings that have passed our review and are marked available by the host appear publicly. Availability can change until a booking is confirmed.

Before you pay, the app shows the full amount for your dates: the rental, any platform fee, applicable taxes, any add-ons you choose and the refundable security deposit. The amount shown at checkout is the amount charged. Prices are in Indian rupees.

5. Bookings and payment

A booking is confirmed only after your payment is received and verified by our payment partner and the vehicle is still free for those dates. If two riders pay for overlapping dates, only the first confirmed booking stands and the other payment is refunded in full.

Payments are processed by a licensed payment gateway. RaideX does not see or store your full card, UPI or bank account details.

Bookings must start after a short minimum notice period shown in the app, so the host can prepare the vehicle.

6. Cancellations, refunds and RaideX Cash

Cancellations and refunds follow our cancellation and refund policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: if you cancel after paying, 20% of the booking charge goes to the host, 30% is kept by RaideX as a cancellation charge and 50% is refunded to you, and your security deposit is refunded in full. If a host cancels, you can choose a full refund or an available replacement vehicle.

RaideX Cash is in-app credit. It can only be used for payments inside RaideX where the app allows it. It is not money held on your behalf, it earns no interest and it cannot be withdrawn to a bank account or transferred to another person.

7. Using the vehicle

You must drive safely, follow traffic laws and use the vehicle only for personal travel. At pickup and return you and the host record the vehicle's condition, fuel or charge level and odometer reading in the app. These records are used to settle any question about damage or distance, so please take them carefully.

You are responsible for the vehicle during your booking, including fuel, tolls, parking, traffic fines and challans incurred during that time. Return the vehicle at the agreed time and place.

• Do not let anyone who isn't on the booking drive the vehicle.
• Do not use the vehicle for racing, off-roading, towing, carrying goods for hire or anything illegal.
• Do not drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• Do not sub-rent the vehicle or carry more people or weight than it is designed for.
• Do not disable or interfere with trip tracking during an active booking.

8. Security deposit, damage and late return

The security deposit is refunded after the trip once the vehicle has been checked in. Reasonable deductions may be made only for damage, missing fuel or charge, excessive cleaning, late return or unpaid fines that are documented in the trip records. Any deduction is explained to you, and you can dispute it.

Late returns may be charged at the rate shown in the app for the extra time. If you need more time, request an extension in the app before your booking ends; extensions depend on the vehicle still being available.

9. Hosting a vehicle

Hosts must own the vehicle or have the owner's permission to list it, and must keep its registration, insurance, pollution certificate and any permits valid. Every listing is reviewed before it goes live, and we may pause or remove a listing that is inaccurate or unsafe.

Listing photos must be real, recent photos of the actual vehicle. Hosts set their own availability. Eligible bookings can pay hosts up to 90% of the rental fare. The app shows the booking-specific payout before a host accepts; once confirmed, that payout is fixed for the booking.

Host payouts are made after the trip to the bank account the host has verified. A payout is shown as paid only once the transfer has been made. RaideX does not guarantee any level of bookings or earnings.

If a host cancels a confirmed booking, the rider is offered a full refund or a replacement, and the host does not receive a payout for that booking. Repeated cancellations may lead to a listing being paused.

10. Our responsibility

We work to verify riders, review listings and keep the booking process fair and transparent. We are not the owner or operator of the vehicles and are not responsible for a vehicle's mechanical condition beyond the checks we carry out, or for the conduct of riders and hosts.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim about a booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that cannot be limited under Indian law, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

11. Suspension and closing your account

We may suspend or close an account for fraud, false documents, unsafe or abusive behaviour, repeated violations of these terms or non-payment. You can stop using RaideX at any time and ask us to close your account by writing to support@raidex.in.

12. Complaints and disputes

If something goes wrong with a booking, raise it from the booking in the app or email support@raidex.in. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and resolve them within 30 days. Details of our grievance officer are on the contact page.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to your rights as a consumer, the courts at New Delhi have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as RaideX grows. If we make a significant change, we will update the date at the top of this page and tell you in the app before it affects a booking you have already made.
