Privacy policy

1. Who is responsible for your data

RaideX, operated by Pratyush Sharma, is responsible for the personal data described here. For any privacy question or request, write to support@raidex.in.

2. What we collect

• Account details: your name and phone number, and your email address if you give it to us.
• Identity verification: images of your government ID and driving licence, your licence number and expiry date, and a live photo used for face matching.
• Bookings: the vehicles you book or list, dates, pickup details, inspection photos, odometer readings and messages about a booking.
• Location: your device location when you choose to search near you, and the vehicle's location during an active trip for safety and recovery. We do not track your location outside an active trip.
• Payments: amounts, status and reference numbers from our payment partner. We never receive your full card, UPI or bank details.
• Host vehicle documents: photos of vehicle registration, rental authorization or exemption, insurance for rental use, and roadworthiness/PUC or exemption evidence. The current app does not collect host bank-account details; payout onboarding is not yet available.
• Technical and agreement records: basic device/usage information, error reports, and—when you submit a booking or host listing—your typed legal name, accepted document version and hash, acceptance timestamp, IP address and browser/app user-agent. We use these records to evidence your choice and resolve disputes.

3. Why we use it

• To create and secure your account and sign you in.
• To verify riders and hosts before a booking, which keeps everyone safer.
• To take payments, issue refunds and pay hosts.
• To track an active trip for safety, support and vehicle recovery.
• To prevent fraud, resolve disputes and meet our legal and tax obligations.
• To send you booking updates and, only if you agree, occasional news about RaideX.

We process your data to provide the service you asked for, with your consent where the law requires it, and where we must do so by law.

4. Who we share it with

• The other party to your booking: the host sees your name and booking details so they can hand over the vehicle. They never see your ID documents.
• Service providers who work for us under contract: identity verification, payment processing, SMS and notifications, cloud hosting and error monitoring. They may use your data only to provide their service to us.
• Authorities, when the law requires it or to protect someone's safety.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. How we protect it

Identity documents are stored separately from everyday account data, and only authorised staff can view them; every view is logged. Sign-in codes are stored in a protected form, sessions expire, and sensitive actions are rate-limited. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will tell you and the authorities about a breach as the law requires.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is open. After it is closed, we keep booking, payment, legal-acceptance and verification records only for as long as needed for legal, tax, accounting and dispute purposes, then delete or anonymise them under our retention schedule. Ask us for the current retention period before submitting a booking.

7. Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct or update it, have it erased where we no longer need it, withdraw consent you have given, and nominate someone to exercise these rights for you. Email support@raidex.in and we will respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can contact our grievance officer (see the contact page) and then the Data Protection Board of India.

8. Children

RaideX is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

9. Cookies

RaideX uses Google Analytics 4 on this public website to measure page visits, traffic sources, general browser/device information and engagement. Google Analytics may use first-party cookies or similar identifiers to distinguish visits and sessions, and Google processes data on RaideX's behalf under its applicable terms. Page paths are sent without query strings, and we do not deliberately send account details, phone numbers, email addresses, booking/payment details, precise location or search terms to Google Analytics. Advertising personalization and Google Signals are disabled for this tag. You can learn about Google's data practices in its Privacy Policy and can opt out of Google Analytics in your browser using Google's opt-out add-on.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change how we use personal data, we will update this page and its date, and tell you in the app when the change is significant.
